Founded in 1952, Heras has developed from a small Dutch family business specialized in fencing and gates to a leading European total supplier of perimeter protection solutions. We operate from 8 countries and employ more than 1100 highly trained experts.

Together we design, manufacture, install and maintain temporary and permanent solutions suitable for every sector and situation. Our perimeter protection solutions are a combination of products and services consisting of fencing, access & control and detection products supported by project management, integration, installation, commissioning and maintenance services. Our goal is to be recognized as a premium perimeter protection brand in Europe, demonstrated by our reliability, commitment and expertise.

Physical perimeter protection can best be described as systems and technologies designed to protect people and assets within a defined area. This protection consists of preventing unauthorized physical entry.

The first layer of protection is the perimeter, which has five functions: delimiting, deterring, delaying, detecting and providing controlled access.

Previously, perimeter protection solutions were only used at military locations, critical infrastructure and utilities and other high-risk locations. Perimeter protection is now commonplace at business locations, homes, transport depots and many other urban and remote locations.
