Kuin & Kuin Architecten was founded in 1989 by the brothers Lex and Ron Kuin. Over the past decades, the firm has gained a great deal of experience in both the private sector and serial residential and non-residential construction. Fun in design is always paramount. We take on challenges with a fresh look, creativity, experience and perseverance to meet the expectations of our clients. Of course within the available budget and the agreed schedule.
Lex Kuin completed his career in 2020 and has taken a well-deserved retirement.
DIALOGUE CRUCIAL
Good communication is becoming increasingly important in the construction process. Especially in complex projects involving many parties. By using insightful sketches and 3D images, everyone, laymen and professionals, is made part of the design process step by step in a relaxed dialogue. Creating a well-functioning building and attractive spaces for the end user is paramount, combined with an overall design that appeals to the imagination.
SPIDER IN THE WEB
In the design process, in addition to being a structural designer, the architect is increasingly the one who has the overview, the spider in the web. Partly for this reason, we opted early on for ArchiCad, an advanced architectural 3D program, with which the design is actually built virtually in advance. This offers the opportunity to prevent construction problems at an early stage, to optimally coordinate building parts, to determine quantities for budgets, etc. We are therefore ready for the future, in which the Building Information Model (BIM) will be increasingly communicated between all parties in the construction industry.
RESISTANT ARCHITECTURE
We are ambitious and also want to be among the front runners in the field of Sustainable Building.
For Kuin & Kuin Architects, Sustainable Building is not just energy and environmentally friendly construction, but rather the creation of resistant buildings. In addition to the sustainability of the individual materials, the building as a whole also plays a leading role. We strive for timelessly designed buildings with a high-quality architectural appearance. Buildings also with character and their own identity, fitting in their context. Sustainable architecture in every way.
A healthy working and living environment is an increasingly important point of attention in our vision of an integrated and future-proof design that fits in with circular construction.
CONSISTENT METHOD
For every project in non-residential construction, one of the architects is ultimately responsible and at least one of the other architects is the sparring partner and as such is well informed about the content. All architects also work out their design technically themselves and remain involved in the implementation until completion. Within our team, the architects have also developed specific expertise based on their preferences and affinity.
FIELD
Our working area is mainly in the south of the country. For private individuals, this is in practice in the wide region of 's-Hertogenbosch, from Oss / Uden to Waalwijk and from Veghel / Boxtel to Zaltbommel.
