UNIBLOCK BENELUX BV

UNIBLOCK

UNIBLOCK BENELUX is a dynamic company that has been operational on the Dutch and Belgian market since 2005. Due to the short lines of communication in the company, we can respond quickly and thoughtfully to the wishes and needs of our customers. Over the years, we have therefore added various types to our range to meet the daily wishes of the customer. The range of bricks under the UNIBLOCK brand is made at 2 product locations.

The brick production takes place in 6 basic steps:

1. The clay extraction

The raw material for the bricks is clay that is mined from the on-site quarries. The type of clay used largely determines the final properties of the baked fast construction, including the compressive strength, thermal value and appearance.

2. The preparation of the clay

The preparation of kneading, mixing and dosing is done by machine. As a result, a homogeneous mixture is formed in which any impurities such as pyrite balls and lime kernels are reduced to a minimal structure. The clay roller, together with the right amount of water, ensures a solid clay paste. The mixing and dosing of different clays on the one hand and the addition of sawdust and water on the other hand ensure the correct proportion of clay and other necessary ingredients to arrive at the brick that UNIBLOCK distributes.

3. Forming brick

The bricks are formed in the extrusion press, where the clay is pressed through a stone mold, after which it is cut to the correct dimensions.

4. Drying

Drying is one of the most important stages in the brick process. Drying should be done in such a way that during firing the bricks do not crack in places where the green brick has not been sufficiently dried.

5. Baking

The batches of dried bricks are continuously fed 7 by 7 into the oven where they undergo a predetermined firing schedule. The maximum baking temperature is between 950 and 1050 ° C.

6. Packaging

All types of stone are properly packed on a pallet and in foil with the necessary information. The UNIBLOCK bricks are CE approved at all product locations. This continuous control has kept our quality up to standard for more than 10 years!

TRADITIONAL

The UNIBLOCK type S blocks are used for non-decorative and decorative traditional masonry. They are 'smooth' on 3 sides with vertical grooves on the back. These grooves give the plaster a greater adhesive power. With 2-sided plaster masonry, the bricks are alternately processed with the 'visible side' and then a layer of 'rib side'. In many cases, the brick is also used by the contractor as 'visible work' in, for example, garages. The responsibility for the execution of visible work with fast construction lies entirely with the contractor / client. The smooth blocks from Uniblock are available in 3 types, each with their specific compressive strength and properties:

TOOTH AND GROOVE

The UNIBLOCK type TG-M blocks are used for non-decorative masonry. They are serrated on 2 sides and have vertical grooves on the front and back. These grooves give the plaster a greater adhesive power. Blocks with teeth have the great advantage that more masonry meters can be made in the same time and that the mortar consumption can be reduced. Due to the tongue / groove connection, masonry of the ribbon joint is sufficient. If necessary, the end connection can be fully embedded to reduce any airborne noise. Expansion and contraction are minimal, making wall lengths of up to approximately 16 meters feasible. This keeps dilations to a minimum. However, the chosen construction must always be assessed by the structural engineer / architect. The TG-M blocks are manufactured at various lengths and heights.

• higher compressive strength

• more masonry meters

• less mortar consumption

GLUE BLOCKS

The UNIBLOCK type TG-L glue blocks are used for non-decorative masonry. They are serrated on 2 sides and have vertical grooves on the front and back. These grooves give the plaster a greater adhesive power. As with all tongue / groove blocks, a larger number of 'glue' meters in a shorter time applies here. Wall lengths of up to approx. 16 meters can be achieved, resulting in fewer expansion joints. The final assessment of the chosen construction is of course always with the constructor / architect. In addition to the well-known advantage of the toothing, glue blocks have a particularly specific feature: the top and bottom surfaces are ground. This allows these stones to be glued. Gluing provides a number of specific improvements to the wall:

• higher compressive strength possible

• better heat transmission coefficient due to thin ribbon joint

• thinner ribbon joint (<2mm), reduced glue consumption

• flatness and plan parallelism: <1mm

• less efflorescence

• to be used in combination with our UNI-FIX adhesive mortar or our UNI-FIX spray

SONIDO

The UNIBLOCK SONIDO blocks are used for non-decorative or decorative adhesive masonry. They are full internal wall bricks, serrated on 2 sides. Sonido distinguishes itself from other types by its increased compressive strength and increased sound insulation properties. This in combination with a breathable, shrink and tear-free character. The declared average compressive strength is above 25 N / mm²! The Sonido also has 2 vertical channels in which, if desired, pipes can be provided. This property makes the Sonido all the more unique in its kind! Sonido can be used both as a masonry and glue block.

• very high compressive strength

• high efficiency

• increased sound insulation

• processing pipes without grinding

CORISO

The UNIBLOCK CORISO glue blocks are used for non-decorative masonry. They are serrated on 2 sides
have vertical grooves on the front and back. These grooves give greater adhesion to the plaster
power.
These blocks have a special feature in addition to the known advantage of the teeth and ground surfaces
specific feature: the perforations are filled with a natural mineral insulation core.
With this filling, insulation values of 0.07 W / mK are obtained!
An ideal partner for passive or low energy homes.

• passive building / mono wall
• high efficiency
• environmentally friendly
